This course provides foundational training for individuals supporting people living with physical, developmental, cognitive, and mental health-related disabilities in Canada. Learners will develop practical skills in person-centered care, communication, safety, inclusion, emotional support, and daily living assistance.
The course emphasizes dignity, independence, respect, cultural sensitivity, and trauma-informed support practices used in disability services, supportive housing, residential care, community outreach, and home support environments.
